OUR MISSION
Musicambia (“music”+“change”) helps people in prison write, play, and perform music, cultivating collaborative communities that nurture everyone involved.
OUR BELIEFS
We use music to build supportive communities where incarcerated people can make meaningful connections, engage in learning, and rebuild their lives.
Making music together develops greater self-confidence, self-esteem, and communication skills.
We believe a more humane criminal legal system in the United States is necessary and possible. We aim to dispel common misconceptions about incarcerated people.
