Support Musicambia

Although we are fortunate to receive foundation and government support, we’re still working hard to sustainably grow and reach more incarcerated individuals with our transformative music programming.

A gift of $100 will pay for one 88-key keyboard for one of our students, 5 music theory textbooks, 3 sets of Bass strings, or a new violin bow.

A gift of $250 will pay for two keyboards, one guitar, one bass guitar, 15 music theory textbooks,  or for one teaching artist to travel to and from Ossining, New York and teach one half-day workshop to 32 inmates at Sing Sing Correctional Facility.

A gift of $500 will pay for one violin, viola,  cello,  clarinet, or for 2 teaching artists to travel to and from Ossining, New York and teach a half-day workshop to 32 students in Sing Sing Correctional Facility

A gift of $750 will cover all theory textbooks for the year, all guitars for one facility, all keyboards for one facility, or all (3) teaching artist fees and travel  for one half-day workshop at Sing Sing Correctional Facility in Ossining, New York.

A gift of $1,500 will pay the Musicambia instrument purchase and repair fund for one year, two full days of teaching artist visits, or half of a 3-day intensive songwriting workshop at a new facility.

A gift of $3,000 will sponsor one Musicambia Teaching Artist for an entire year, or fund a 3 day intensive songwriting workshop at a new facility, or supply a complete list of instruments, textbooks and repairs for a new facility

A gift of $5,000 will pay for a week-long intensive songwriting workshop in a new facility, a 6-week pilot program at a new facility, or Operations Director’s wages for one year.

A gift of $10,000 or more can provide long term expansion and support to all of our programs across the country, start a new program at a new facility (fully fledged music conservatory in prison), support the fees of Program Director Teaching Artists, for one season

“Men who have spent most of their lives in prison have very little hope, very little to aspire to. Learning to make music provides a lifeline and reaches the men in ways nothing else can. And people who learn to speak in the language of music learn the language of humanity, love and connectiveness.”
